“Walk for the Love of Kids” to Benefit
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Upcoming Walk in Honor and Memory of Children’s in Alpharetta
Physical Therapist, Kim Fusinaz

WHAT: The first annual “Walk for the Love of Kids” is right around the corner! This event is sure to be fun for all ages.  In addition to great exercise, there will be a raffle, musical entertainment, a magician, games and prizes.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Rehabilitative division of Children’s of Healthcare of Atlanta.  Prior to the walk, attendees will enjoy a light breakfast, as well as snacks and drinks.  “Walk for the Love of Kids” was created to honor Children’s in Alpharetta physical therapist, Kim Fusinaz, who died of cancer at just 34 years of age last May. Kim’s adoration for children was evident by her work.   She is deeply missed by her patients, family, friends and colleagues.    Kim is pictured  above with her husband Adrian.

WHEN: Saturday, October 22, 2005
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: East Cobb Park, 3322 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062

PRICE: $25 per family; $10 per individual; $25 per team (minimum of five members, if more than five members add $5 per person).  Registration includes t-shirt and light breakfast.  To register, contact Michele Davis-Martin at 404-785-8480 or michele.davis-martin@choa.org . Additional donations are accepted.  If you cannot attend the walk but would like to register as a phantom walker, please specify desired donation amount.  Phantom walkers will receive a free t-shirt.

WHY: “Walk for the Love of Kids” was created to celebrate the memory of Kim Fusinaz, who left behind a husband, a 22-month-old son and many others who will always remain grateful for the inspirations she shared.  Her patients at Children’s loved her energy, kind spirit, and her crazy, colorful socks.  Kim’s collection included stripes, polka dots and even singing socks! Kim’s overriding goal was to help children with disabilities.  To help them reach their potential; she encouraged her patients to love life, try new things and reach for their dreams.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the rehabilitative division of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, specifically for the physical therapy departments to purchase additional equipment to aid in treatment.
